Working As A Team

To the Editor:

A recent Danbury News-Times article reported that Newtown First Selectman Joe Borst responded to questions with words that inadvertently created an appearance that Selectman Paul Mangiafico acted in a manner that could be misconstrued as surreptitious or unexpected.

This was not the case since we had conversations about the Fairfield Hills issue prior to the meeting in question. We have since talked about the result of the less-than-perfect wording in the newspaper article and it is understood that no slight was intended. We also want to stress that we are committed to working as a team in addressing the problems of Newtown.
