New England

WASHINGTON — Dr Nicholas Bellantoni, Connecticut’s state archaeologist, will present a lecture called “Vampires In New England: The Archaeological Evidence” at The Institute for American Indian Studies.

The lecture will be Sunday, February 10, at 6:30 pm. Dr Bellantoni will cover the beliefs in vampires that once prevailed among 18th Century New Englanders and the archaeological proof for its existence in Connecticut.

Admission is $5 (free for members of The Litchfield Hills Archaeology Club, which is hosting and sponsoring the lecture). The museum, at 38 Curtis Road, can be reached for additional information at 860-868-0518 or birdstone.org.
