*Here’s something that feels like one of those blasts from the past: BRYAN ADAMS will be offering an acoustic performance on Monday, April 6, at the Shubert Theater in New Haven.

Tickets will be going on sale tomorrow morning (Feb 21) at 10 am for the show, which has an 8 pm start time. There are a limited number of $150 VIP tickets, which will grant holders access to a preshow meet & greet with Adams, along with plenty of seats priced at $40 to $75.

Adams is continuing an already successful solo acoustic concert tour in select US cities this winter, with intimate theater performances interspersed between stadium dates in Europe and the US. The world tour has been in support of last year’s his new album 11, but it also includes plenty of material we’re all familiar with. His show just last week in The Winnipeg Sun, in fact, according to Darryl Sterdan’s review in that paper, was one “part Unplugged episode, part Storytellers installment, and wholly satisfying and entertaining to a politely enthusiastic crowd dominated by middle-aged couples.”

The show, which had Adams on the stage with only his guitar, harmonica and sheet music stand, “on a bare-bones stage illuminated by just a handful of min-spotlights on tripods and some footlights,” ran for just over two hours, with two set lists that covered 29 songs. “Basically you got almost every Bryan Adams song you ever wanted to hear,” wrote Sterdan.

The press release announcing the New Haven show sounds like we’ll be treated to the same presentation, which also included plenty of audience interaction and anecdotes from the Canadian.

*Also going on sale this weekend will be tickets for a LIL’ WAYNE show at the Chevrolet Theatre in Wallingford on Wednesday, March 18. These will actually be available this afternoon (Feb 20) beginning at 4, initially only through LiveNation.com. By tomorrow morning tickets — which have been priced from $50.25 to $90.25 — will also be available at the theater’s box office.

Keri Hilson will be opening.

Until next week I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
