Travel Seminar At Pomperaug Woods

SOUTHBURY — Join Pomperaug Woods residents and other guests on Thursday, November 19, at 1 pm, at Pomperaug Woods to hear all about spring travel plans. Attendees will receive complete information about three trips and the early booking incentives to join these guided tours, just for senior citizens.

The first trip is Virginia’s Historic Garden Tour featuring the Boar’s Head Inn, Shenandoah Valley, and James River Plantations. Host is Kent Kauffman from Isings Travel, and the departure date is April 25 from Pomperaug Woods to fly direct to Washington, D.C., then travel by motor coach to Charlottesville, Va. Accommodates will be at the Boar’s Head Inn.

The next trip is a Bermuda cruise, May 30 to June 6. The cruise is on Holland America Line, Ms Veendam, and will include the ports of St Georges and Hamilton. Stops will include a charming British town of historic stone buildings and ancient forts, the beautiful beaches of Bermuda including Horseshoe and Long Bay Beaches, and the wonders of marine life at the Bermuda Underwater Explorations Institute.

The third trip is a European River Cruise on the Rhine plus an optional extension to the Operammergau Passion Play. Depart from Amsterdam, Holland, August 21 and end in Basel, Switzerland, August 29.
