Vincent T. Wojcik, Sr, 66, of Monroe, died December 11. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Marion âMikeâ Wojcik and Jean (Bober) Wojcik.
Mr Wojcik is survived by three children, including Ted Wojcik of Newtown; five grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.
Mr Wojcik graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BA in business, the University of Southern California, and received a master of business administration degree from the Marshall School of Business.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the United States Army from July 1966 to September 1968, receiving his active commission upon graduation from ROTC at University of Rhode Island into the Adjutant General Corps. He served in Vietnam from September 1966 to September 1967 as the Post Master General of the 9th Infantry Division. He received the Bronze Star Medal with Valor, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
After service to his country Mr Wojcik enjoyed a career in the banking and financial industry in southern California. He became an independent financial consultant before retiring at an early age.
 A funeral service with military honors will be held in the Chapel of the Connecticut State Veteranâs Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, Saturday, December 19, at 11 am.
