Screaming Gators 14, Newtown (#2) 3 â Mitch Udiskey singled, doubled and tripled, scored two runs, drove in three more and pitched and two strong innings to lead the Gators. Jack Kneisel scored three times and pitched two solid innings while Johnny Wlasuk hit a home run and made several excellent defensive plays. Bryan Czel pitched two excellent innings for Newtown #2, striking out six. Adam Morehouse had a long triple and also pitched two good innings. Stephen Clark added a double and RBI while having a strong game behind the plate.
Screaming Gators 8, Newtown (#6) 3 â Michael Zaccaro pitched two scoreless innings and added a hit with two RBIs in leading the Gators to a win. Mason West made a key defensive play and scored twice along with a hit and RBI. Bobby Hughes also pitched two scoreless innings. Matt Madden added a hit and run scored and had an outstanding game defensively. Theo Hartlett pitched two strong innings for Newtown #6 and had a hit, an RBI and a run scored. Brian Reed had three hits with two RBIs. Sean Connolly added a hit and run scored while having an excellent game defensively behind the plate.
Newtown (#9) 14, Royals 7 â Johnny Kerins scored two runs and pitched well for the Royals.
Royals 15, Southbury 9 â Cody Williams pitched great ball and Eric Sippin ended a Southbury rally with a stunning catch in deep centerfield.

Newtown (#3) 10, Newtown (#1) 5 â Tyler Edwards, Drew Woods and Mac Fuller had two hits apiece and Michael Coates had a bases-clearing double to lead Team #3 to the win. For Team #1, Ian Mason had three hits and Dan Spencer added two to power the offense. Pete Wlasuk pitched well.

Washington/Shepaug 4, Newtown 1 â Brian Fogelstrom pitched well, throwing four innings of shutout ball before Washington/Shepaug broke through. Fogelstrom scattered six hits, walked one, and struck out four. Graham Philbrick pitched well. Steve Brink, Kevin Wasicki, Jeff Peterson and Fogelstrom all had hits and Ryan Williams scored a run.

Redding 8, 100 Church Hill 2 â In their first game of the fall season, 100 Church Hill Restaurant traveled to Redding and put up a valiant effort in defeat. Kendall Svanda pitched a great game. Alexandra Buttery and Madison Hauck each collected two hits. Taylor Brady made several stellar plays in the field.
LRM Landscaping 15, Burton Builders 4 â Jenn Callery had three hits and two RBI to lead LRM to the win. Jenna Bonnacorso led the defense with spectacular plays in the field while Colleen Cunningham and Brook Fell combined for a stellar pitching effort. For Burton, Kate Siroky had a two-run double while Sarah Ferris had a two-run single. Taylor Johnson pitched well.
