New Theatre Company Announces Auditions

The Stray Kats Theatre Company, a not-for-profit theater company, announces auditions for its inaugural season, to be held Wednesday and Thursday, October 27-28. Auditions will run from 7 to 9 pm each night at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street in Newtown.

Union and non-Union actors are welcome. Appointments are recommended and can be made by contacting Artistic Director Kate Katcher at 203-514-2221 or sending email to info@StrayKatsTheatreCompany.org.

The company is seeking all types for its upcoming season of staged readings designed to introduce the company to the community and to build an audience before venturing into fully mounted productions. The theater’s mission includes the presentation of contemporary classics, old-time radio scripts and new works including the following schedule: December 10, The Man Who Came To Dinner by George S. Kaufman; January 14, The Bickersons by Phillip Rapp; February 11, a new work, TBA; March 11, The Price by Arthur Miller; April 8, Fibber McGee & Molly; and May 6, Our Lady of Allapattah by Christopher Demos Brown.

Those auditioning are asked to prepare two contrasting monologues from contemporary plays to be read, not memorized, and not to exceed three minutes.
