Evangelical Minister To Be Guest Preacher

OXFORD — The Reverend Dr Wayne Detzler will serve as guest preacher at Christ Church Quaker Farms, 470 Quaker Farms Road (Route 188), on Saturday and Sunday, December 18 and 19.

Dr Detzler will be speaking during the men’s breakfast at 7:30 am on Saturday, and then preaching during the 8 and 10 am services on Sunday. His sermons will be focused on Advent.

Dr Detzler was former professor of missions at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill.; a former professor at Trinty College (Anglican) in Bristol, England, teaching under Dr George Carey, who became Archbishop of Canterbury.

Dr Detzler currently serves as professor and dean of the academic board at Southern Evangelical Seminary, Charlotte, N.C.
