Harriet A.

Parks Ford

Cherished By Family

Harriet A. Parks Ford, 98, of Sandy Hook, formerly of Danbury, died March 13, at Bethel Health Care, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Vincent Ford and the late Charles Darling Parks. She was born August 21, 1912, daughter of Agnes (Walsh) and Joseph Lattin.

In early years, she was employed in the hatting industry. She moved to Sandy Hook to make her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Kenneth R. Barney, Sr, and family. A member of St Peter Parish, she also attended St Rose of Lima Parish of Newtown.

She was a member of the Newtown Senior Center and enjoyed watching game shows, enjoyed her flowers, the New York Yankees, and practicing her Catholic faith. She loved people, made friends easily, and devoted her many years to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those who knew her will sorely miss her.

She is survived, in addition to her daughter and son-in-law of Sandy Hook, by four other children; her cousins, Madeline and Ethel Walsh; 26 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs Ford was predeceased by two sons, three brothers, and a sister.

The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and concern during this time of loss.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March. Burial followed in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
