Hospital To Hold First Family Day March 31

NEW MILFORD — New Milford Hospital invites the public to its inaugural Family Day, scheduled for Saturday, March 31, from 10 am to 2 pm. This first year’s theme is “Good Health is a Family Matter.” The event will promote physical activity, good nutrition and general wellness.

Family Day activities start at the hospital’s main entrance, 21 Elm Street, and parking is available in the visitors’ lot, including valet parking. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The day features plenty of hands-on activities and introduces “high-tech” programs and services available at New Milford Hospital.

Family Day activities will include bike helmet safety, Plow to Plate Healthy Foods Program, face painting, K-9 dog demo, Governor’s Horse Guard, Amber Alert Child IDs, health screenings, tours of the hospital’s One-Day Surgery, Center for Sleep Medicine and Radiology areas, and music and fitness demonstrations.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to tour an ambulance, and fire and police vehicles.

Family Day at New Milford Hospital has been made possible by the support of Western Connecticut Health Network employees, volunteers, and local first responders. There will be a limited number of giveaways while supplies last.
