Jill M. Trigaux, 59, of Newtown, died October 11. Born March 28, 1951, in New York City, her father was artist George Meyerriecks and her mother was nurse Marceline Stygles Meyerriecks.
Much loved as a wife, mother, and friend, Mrs Trigaux was an active artist and gardener. She touched many lives with her creativity, thoughtfulness, and outreach.
In New York, she attended the Red Brick and Spence Schools. After graduating from Western Connecticut State University, she taught kindergarten.
Her husband, David; her children, Brett and Carolyn Peterson, and Christopher and Matthew Trigaux; stepsons Alexander and Jonathan Trigaux; her brother Thad Meyerriecks and his family, Leslie Mason and Lucy Mason, survive her.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at the Meeting House on Main Street in Newtown, Saturday, October 16, at 3 pm. Arrivals are welcome beginning at 2 and fellowship will be shared from 4 to 5 p.m.
