Additional Computer Classes Being Offered At Bethel Library

BETHEL — Bethel Public Library announces a new date for computer classes taught by Len Murray, a computer consultant and partner in Delta Technologies, on Saturday, April 28. The previously scheduled April 21 session has been cancelled.

Registration is required and can be done at the library or by calling 794-8756 during library hours. The library is at 189 Greenwood Avenue.

“Computer Basics,” from 10 to 11:30 am, will cover basic computer operation and navigation. This is the very basics – all questions welcome. “Computer Basics” is designed to help participants to get to know their computer, right from taking the PC out of the box. Students will practice turning it on, learning some of the options and menu items, the operating system, how to manage files and use email.

“Introduction to Web Development,” from noon to 2 pm, will introduce what a Web site is composed of including HTML, JavaScript, graphics, hyperlinks, etc. This class has some focus on a career in Web development, and is somewhat progressive.

“Programming & Advanced Web Development,” a class with a strong focus on career, will be offered from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. It is designed not only to teach all about software development, but to help participants obtain a rewarding career.
