NEWTOWN GREEN 10, WOODBURY 9: Seth Hull pitched four innings of no-hit ball and Andrew Chimileski was 3-for-4 and singled home Colin Cieniawa with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to lead the Newtown Green to the win. Alex Dolan was 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles while Bryan Fogelstrom was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Jim Leebaert had a solid game at first. Jared Westhaven also snared a line drive to left with runners on base.

NEWTOWN GREEN 15, NEW MILFORD 7: Down by five runs early in the game, Newtown got key hits from Colin Cieniawa and Jim Leebart to ignite a 10-run, seventh-inning rally. Bryan Fogelstrom started and allowed a single run in two innings and Alex Dolan was unhittable in three innings of middle relief.

Minors

 

NEWTOWN (#3) 9, NEWTOWN (#4) 7: Herlof Sorenson, Conor Carman and Kyle Kromberg all pitched well to lead Team #3 to the win. Sorenson also knocked in three runs with a double and Tim Zimmerman had a single. Kevin Leibold walked twice. For Team #4, Spencer Gregoire pitched well while John Wlasuk, Trevor Todd and Kevin Brown all had solid games.

NEWTOWN (#3) 13, BROOKFIELD 0: George Zaruba pitched a four-inning perfect game with 11 strikeouts and helped himself with three hits. Shane Wurtz and Kyle Kromberg also banged out hits. Patrick Fay led the defense by catching a line drive at second base to keep the perfecto alive.
