Donald Edwards Joyce, 76, of Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of Monroe, died at the Veterans Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., on July 4.
He was the son of Stanley and Ruth Joyce. He served in World War II in the Normandy Invasion and enjoyed his career in transportation, trains, buses, and airplanes, retiring from Eastern Airlines, Miami, Fla., in 1985. His hobbies were collecting airline timetables and following sports car racing.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Joyce; son, Dennis Joyce of Palm Harbor, Fla.; grandchildren, Cullen and Caitlin; sister-in-laws, Grace Joyce of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Marjorie Derle of Monroe; brothers-in-law, Sam Swendsen of Bethlehem and John Swendsen of Millerton, N.Y.; stepsons, Samuel Sample of Greenfield, Ind., William Sample, Indiana.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
 Graveside Services will be held on September 22 at 11 am, Stepney Cemetery, Route 25, Monroe.
