Smith, Meisel Earn Soccer Honors

 The New England Collegiate Conference, has selected Lesley University junior Taylor Smith, daughter of Dave and Tracey Smith of Sandy Hook, to the Women’s Soccer All-Conference First Team.

The Lesley University Women’s soccer team had an outstanding season at 16-2-2. The Lesley Lynx defender helped the team hold opponents to only five goals in 20 games. As conference champions, the team earned an automatic bid to the NCAA DIV III tournament.

Colby College senior Andrew Meisel earned New England Small College Athletic Conference First Team honors. Meisel, of Newtown, was a midfielder and captain for the Mules.
