The World Bank has 10,000 dedicated and professional staff from 140 different countries, in 109 offices around the globe — all working for a world free of poverty. We take pride in being an extremely transparent organization, posting and disseminating documentation in multiple languages on virtually every activity the bank is engaged in around the world. We also have an extremely robust system for protecting our staff, including a global, 24-hour a day, anonymous tip-line (800-831-0463) for staff or the public to report allegations of corruption, mismanagement, or abuse without reprisal.

As an organization owned by our 184 member countries, the World Bank encourages public scrutiny, and values the role organizations such as the GAP plays. We take exception, however, when overheated rhetoric and unsubstantiated allegations take precedence over the facts.
