KAA Fall Show & Sale Opens September 16

KENT — The Gallery at the Kent Art Association will have more than 100 paintings and sculpture on display at its Fall Art Show and Sale, which will be on view from Friday, September 16, until Sunday, October 16. On display will be oils, watercolors, pastels, graphics as well as sculpture in various mediums. All of the works are for sale.

Many prize-winning artists from both local areas and adjacent states will be represented in the show. Two receptions are scheduled at which exhibiting artists will be present. The opening reception will be on September 16 from 6 to 8 pm. The awards reception will take place Saturday, September 17, with awards given out at 3. Refreshments will be served at both receptions.

Last year Barbara Groff was the recipient of the Kent Art Association 2004 Medal of Merit and Solo Show Award, which places her solo show in this KAA Fall Art Show. Also, the association is offering chances on a pastel painting donated by the award-winning artist.

The gallery is at 21 South Main Street, and is open throughout the show from Thursday through Sunday from 1 to 5 pm. Admission is free at all times. For more information, visit www.kentart.org or call 860-927-3989.
