Active Singles Hike Rescheduled To April 30
Active Singles Hike Rescheduled To April 30
Active Singles will sponsor a hike for singles in their 30s to 50s on Sunday, April 30. This hike, to be held in the Upper Paugussett State Forest in Newtown, was rescheduled due to rain the previous weekend.
Hikes of different skill levels will begin at 9:30 am; hikers are requested to arrive at the starting location by 9:15. The group will be leaving from the boat lunch off Hanover Road, about 3½ miles from The Boulevard.
The hikes are for adults only, no children or pets. Bring water, and wear sturdy footwear.
An optional brunch at a local restaurant will follow the hikes. Anyone wishing to attend the brunch should contact Active Singles coordinator Charlie Gergley at 860-489-9611 so that he can plan a reservation accordingly.
There is no charge to participate in the hike. Brunch will be the responsibility of each attendee.
Active Singles is a nonprofit group that sponsors hikes at different locations across the state on the first and third Sunday of each month, October through May. For additional information or directions contact Mr Gergley.
