Impromptu MLS Match

All work and no play make MLS soccer coaches dull boys. Recently, it was anything but dull as MLS Camps “mates” – running camp programs in Newtown and Southbury – convened in a rare match to practice the skills they teach young soccer players during the week. Coaches stationed in Newtown and Southbury raced in the brutal heat kicking, heading, and diving to a score of 4-4 with the Newtown team ultimately succumbing to Southbury because of penalties. – Photo courtesy of Eric Ziegler
