Christmas Story Reading At The Barnum Museum

BRIDGEPORT — On Thursday, December 20, at 11 am, Sonya Finch, wife of the new mayor of Bridgeport Bill Finch, will continue the time honored tradition at the Barnum Museum of reading The Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore.

The museum is decorated with displays that interpret the evolution of the Christmas season.  Both period rooms are decorated for the holidays in styles reflective of the 19th Century, detailing how Christmas came to be a tradition in American society.

Admission to the museum, which will include Mrs Finch’s story time, is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and college students, $3 for ages 4-17, and free for ages 3 and under. The museum is at 820 Main Street; telephone 203-331-1104.
