NSB Brings On New Commercial Lending VP

William C. Calderara recently joined Newtown Savings Bank’s management team as senior vice president and senior commercial lending officer.  In his role as senior commercial lending officer, Mr Calderara oversees the bank’s commercial lending and loan servicing departments.

“Bill is an exceptionally talented banker with very strong ties to our Newtown community,” said Newtown Savings Bank President John F. Trentacosta. “We couldn’t have asked for a better person to lead our commercial lending team.”

Mr Calderara has more than 25 years experience in banking and financial services with an extensive lending background, and has held various executive positions throughout his career.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and computer science from Iona College and is a past president and director of Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association. 

Mr Calderara is well known in the greater Danbury area for his involvement in the Knights of Columbus, Connecticut Yankee Boy Scouts, Newtown Rotary, and St Rose Parish, and has lived in Newtown for the past 12 years with his wife Patti and their three children, Derek, Ryan, and Brenna.
