Don’t Change A Good Thing

To the Editor:

Keep the Newtown bus system the same! I know it has been a long time since my children rode a bus in Newtown, but now its my grandchildren riding the buses. I have to tell you I never had to worry about my children getting to school, being left on a bus if they fell asleep, or coming home safe. If there was ever a problem the bus driver would call me at home, know my name, my child’s name and the problem was solved. The drivers were family.

Newtown bus drivers are one in a million! We should not worry about how our children/grandchildren get to school. We should feel safe, our children/grandchildren should feel safe with the same bus drivers every year. Let’s not change what isn’t broken! The Board of Education is playing the same games it always plays. This time it concerns the safety of our Newtown children... Stop!
