Thanks To The Teachers

To the Editor:

In recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week, I am writing to thank Newtown’s teachers. As a high school junior, I have been educated by these teachers for the past 11 years and have witnessed their dedication first-hand. Our teachers pour themselves into their jobs; many are at the school long before the first bell rings and hours after the students have gone home.

During the school day, they work hard to help their students, often going above and beyond what is expected. I have benefited greatly from the guiding hands of my teachers and would like to take this opportunity to say “thanks.”
