Erin Zaruba and Ryan Loucks

Lisen and George Zaruba of Newtown are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Caroline Zaruba.

The future bride is a 2001 graduate of Newtown High School and also a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in musical theater. She is pursuing her career in Los Angeles.

Erin is the maternal granddaughter of Caroline and Knut Hauge of Auburn, N.Y. She is the paternal granddaughter of Beverly Zaruba, residing in Manhattan, and her late husband George Zaruba.

Her fiancé is Ryan Robert Tullock Loucks, son of Barbara Loucks and Butch Pross of Minaville, N.Y., and Frank Loucks of Ballston Lake, N.Y.

Ryan is a 1999 graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School. He is also a graduate of Hartt School of Music with a degree in fine arts and is following his love of music in Los Angeles.

He is the maternal grandson of the late Robert and Ruth Tulloch of Rotterdam, N.Y., and the paternal grandson of the late Seward and Nettie Loucks of Utica, N.Y.

Erin and Ryan were engaged in a gondola in Los Vegas. An August 2009 wedding is being planned.
