The Greening Of The Season
The Greening Of The Season
To the Editor:
The Garden Club of Newtown would like to say a big âthank youâ to all who helped to make our annual Greens Sale a continuing success. The proceeds of this sale help to support our clubâs many local projects, including maintenance of the Matthew Curtiss House gardens, the Blue Star Marker Garden, Barbâs Trail Garden, Newtownâs Booth Library plantings, and the Newtown Scholarship Association.
Each year Newtownâs beautiful Meeting House allows our members to conduct our workshops through the week. As a club, we are always dazzled by the sights, sounds and scents of the holiday season as we gather together on Saturday to sell our handmade wares in the sparkling space of the sanctuary of the Meeting House. Thank you Sherry and Tom Paisley for your continuing support of our cause as well as for your meticulous managing of this Newtown landmark.
Once again we are grateful to Caraluzziâs for their generous contributions and curbside delivery of the wreaths which we decorate. Weâre proud to have Caraluzziâs as a new friend in town. Jen, youâre the best!
And finally, we thank you, Newtown, for supporting us through your purchases and your words of encouragement. Each year we are reminded of how fortunate we are to be a part of all that makes Newtown a great place to call home.
Gratefully,
Beth Caldwell
