7 – Cricker Brook Farm will host a CHSA, CHJA, NEHC horse show on Saturday, July 7, at Red Horse Stables in Southbury. Classes will include Pleasure, Hunter, Jumper and Equitation. Call 268-6676.

8 – The Schooling Show series at Lion Hill Farm on Sport Hill Road in Easton will continue on Sunday, July 8. There will be many divisions from beginner jumpers and micro equitation to Low Hunter Under Saddle and High Hunter Fences. Call 203-268-0089 for further information. Fax entries to 203-459-8122. The show will begin at 8 am.

29 – The Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard annual horse show will be held Sunday, July 29, from 8 am to 4 pm at the horse guard facility at Fairfield Hills. Participants must contact Show Secretary Naomi Gauruder at 203-882-0379. It is a CHSA, CHJA rated show. Proof of current Coggins and Rabies vaccinations must be shown. 14 – The Middlebury Bridle Land Association will be holding its annual Fall Hunter Pace on Sunday,  October 14, at Larkin’s Farm, South Street, Middlebury. The ride is open to all riders, and helmets and negative coggins are required. All jumps have go-arounds. The pace is part of the Associated Bridle Trails Fall Pace series, and ribbons will be awarded in four divisions: Hunt, Pleasure, Junior, and Western.
