SCAN To Host Nationally-Recognized Watercolor Artist
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown will host a program by Lalit Masih AWS, NWS, who will be painting a landscape in transparent watercolor on Wednesday, August 22, at 1:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at Newtown Meeting House (lower level), 31 Main Street in Newtown. Admission is free.
Mr Masihâs distinctive style and sense of design and color has developed through years of study, which began in his native India. He continued his studies with courses in drawing and painting at Syracuse University.
Mr Masih received an MFA from the School of Visual Arts at C.W. Post College. He has also studied with leading watercolorists including Frank Webb, Christopher Schink and Robert Wood.
Lalit Masihâs work has been included in many national juried shows including shows presented by American Watercolor Society, National Academy of Design, and National Watercolor Society. He is an artist member of the Salmagundi Club, Allied Artists, American Artistâs Professional league, and the Audubon Artists.
