After learning that police held a rearrest warrant on him, Daniel Bernstein, 19, of Hamden turned himself over to police on February 9 and was charged with second degree failure to appear in court and with third degree criminal trespassing.
Police said Bernstein had been scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on January 14, but did not appear, resulting in a rearrest warrant being issued.Â
The original criminal trespassing charge stems from an incident last September 28, in which Bernstein and two others attempted to illegally enter Cochran House at Fairfield Hills, police said.
After processing his arrest, police released Bernstein on $500 bail for a February 22 court appearance.
