For Theater Seat Project
The Newtown Junior Womenâs Club donated proceeds from its Family Fun Show and Golf Tournament to the Newtown Lions Club to benefit the Edmond Town Hall Theatre Seat Project.
Gordon Williams, chairman of the Lions Clubâs Tercentennial Seat project, accepted a check for $2,400 from Susan Rahmlow, NJWC president. In combination with previous donations, NJWC has purchased 16 theater seats (more than a full row of seats), which will be represented with inscribed nameplates. Anyone can support this project by purchasing a seat for the cost of $300, which includes the nameplate.
Additionally, monetary donations of any amount are always welcome and appreciated. Contact Gordon Williams at 426-6443 for more information. Anyone can also show support of the seat project by attending a pancake breakfast held at the Methodist Church on Church Hill Road, April 16 from 8 am to noon.
âThe Newtown Junior Womenâs Club takes pride in supporting this project and other community programs,â Ms Rahmlow said.
One hundred percent of the profit from the clubâs annual golf tournament allows for donations to various town organizations. The third annual NJWC Golf Tournament is being held on Monday, August 22. Anyone interested in sponsorships or participation in the golf tournament should call Kim DiDomizio at 426-4917.
