Opens New Branch

WATERBURY — Savings Bank of Danbury has opened its newest branch office and lending center at 357 Bank Street in Waterbury.

The Bank Street branch represents the second branch in Waterbury; the first is at 650 Wolcott Street, which opened in March of this year.

On hand for the grand opening was Waterbury Mayor Michael J. Jarjura, who participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony along with Hal Wibling, president and CEO, Donna Ramey, executive vice president, and Mary Schmelcke, vice president and area manager, for the Waterbury branches. Mr Wibling presented a donation in the amount of $500 to the United Way, Greater Waterbury.

Established in 1849, Savings Bank of Danbury is headquartered at 220 Main Street, Danbury, with branch offices in, Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown and Waterbury.
