Leona M. Denesha Heady, 88, of Bridgeport, died September 3 at St Vincentâs Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Heady. Born in East Long Meadow, Mass. she was a Bridgeport resident since the age of 7.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Joanne M. MacDonald and her husband, Angus, of Newtown; granddaughters Bonnie M. Barago and her husband, John, of Newtown and Debbie MacDonald of Fairfield; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Rachel Barago; sister Eviline Brocket of New York; several nieces and nephews; and several cousins in Massachusetts. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Ann, Ray, and Marge; and brothers, Larry and Raymond.
Mrs Heady worked wiring electrical panels for several area companies including Sikorsky Aircraft, and was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Womenâs Auxiliary in Black Rock.
Funeral services were held September 7 in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Trumbull. Interment followed in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
