Kevin Barrett scored 21 points and Scott Lavelle added 20 more as five different players scored in double figures and Total Pool & Spa defeated Svanda Painting, 89-49, in The Gym at Newtown Men’s Basketball League.

Gary Jossick (18), Tom Santella (13) and Tom Birch (13) also scored in double figures for Total Pool. For Svanda, Matt Mariani canned 17 points while Mark Svanda added 13. Cody Forte chipped in with nine points.

A short-handed D’Amico Painting team outlasted Newtown Phone Book, 65-63, in overtime as Jason scored 31 points, Steve D’Amico tossed in 19, and Rob added 15. For Phone Book, four different players scored in double figures with Steve Bigham )17), Dave Samoskevich (14), Pat Sullivan (13) and Steve Hordos (13) leading the way.

Daguan poured in 30 points and Rudy McCauley added 20 more to lead My Place Pizza to a 74-70 win over Pantan Landscaping. Bill McNulty chipped in with 12 points. For Pantan, Mike Fern canned 25 points and Rich Engel added 21 more. Ralph Cardoso contributed nine points.

Ken Wright scored 26 points and Jeff Haddad tossed in 20 to lead The Gym to a 79-41 win over Garage Door. Mike Bolton added 15 points and Marcus McCullough contributed 14. For Garage Door, Tim Frawley Jr tossed in 19 points while Joe Braun added 11.

Women’s Hoop

Holly Ferguson and Colleen Gregory combined for 25 points and 14 rebounds as Dr Gellert defeated Colorgraphics, 50-34, in The Gym at Newtown Women’s Basketball League.

Kim Lowell added 11 points and nine rebounds while Jen Timpanelli tossed in 10 points. For Colorgraphics, Alex H., Rachael McGrath and Colleen Ruiz dropped in 10 points each and combined for 12 rebounds.

Christy Hardy scored 17 points and grabbed eight-rebounds as The Gym at Newtown defeated Newtown Mobil, 67-59. Jen Thomas and Jaime Murphy each dropped in 14 points and combined for 18 rebounds. Carolyn Schreiber chipped in 10 points. For Newtown Mobil, Amy Proulx led all scorers with 30 points ... including a pair of three pointers. Lynn Lattanzio dropped in 15 points and pulled down 16 rebounds before being injured. Karen Katrinak contributed 14 points.

Tori Anderton scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Alpine Realty handed Walsh Logging its second loss of the season, 72-42. Shelby Neveriski added 24 points and 11 rebounds while Kelly Fengler had 18 points and 16 rebounds. For Walsh, Joanne Duncanson had 16 points and 13 boards awhile Jen Dayton contributed 14 points and seven rebounds Tracey Paella chipped in 12 points.
