Call For Artists Of All Ages:

Bridgewater Country Fair Art Show

BRIDGEWATER — Artists of all ages are invited to exhibit their work at this year’s Bridgewater Country Fair, which will run August 18-20.

Drop-off for work is at Bridgewater Firehouse, on Route 133, on Thursday, August 17, from 4 to 7 pm. Pick-up will be Sunday, August 20, between 6 and 7 pm. No work may be removed before then.

This year’s theme is “Beauty.” The intention of this exhibit is to lift the spirits of visitors to the fair by surrounding them with beauty as they enter the Firehouse Gallery. Artists should choose works that most clearly radiate their personal depiction of beauty. Remember that this is a family event so subject matter should be in good taste.

Paintings, drawings, collage, prints including etchings, also lithographs and woodcuts will all be accepted.

Giclée prints will not be accepted, and sculpture cannot be accommodated.

All adult work must be framed. Children’s work – pieces by those age 16 and under – must be matted or framed.

This is an exhibit so prices will not be posted but contact information will be passed along to artists and interested parties.

Photography will be handled by Classic Photography in New Milford. To contact them call 860-350-1409.

The Fair Committee is not responsible for any theft or damage to works exhibited. Security is provided overnight, however, and art show “sitters” are present during all fair hours. The art show superintendent or her representatives will be present on the fairgrounds during all fair hours. Exhibitors may be required to sign a release in case of theft or damage.

For additional information contact Pamela Hochstetter, Bridgewater Fair Art Show Superintendent, at 860-350-1121.
