Wildflower Walks

WOODBURY — Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust, in conjunction with The Pomperaug Valley Garden Club of Woodbury, is hosting guided walks along the award-winning Botany Trail at the Van Vleck Farm and Nature Sanctuary on Sunday afternoons in May, beginning at 2.

Led by an experienced naturalist, each stroll will wind through woodlands and wetlands with more than 250 species of native wildflowers, ferns, trees and shrubs on view. Walks begin at the Sugar House parking lot, one-quarter of a mile east of the intersection of Flanders and Church Hill Roads.

The walks are free, although donations are welcome. Walks will be cancelled in the event of rain; call 203-263-3711 extension 10 if unsure.
