To GFWC Seminar

Jo Ann Bruno, a member of The Newtown Woman’s Club, GFWC, Inc, has been chosen by the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Connecticut, to attend a two-day seminar this June in Chicago. Ms Bruno will be attending the GFWC LEADS (Leadership Education and Development Seminar) at the 117th GFWC International Convention, being held at the Hilton Chicago Hotel.

The LEADS seminar is designed to develop, nurture, and sustain a broad and deep pool of capable leaders well into the future. The program has been in existence since 2002 for the purpose of finding, training, and encouraging clubwomen at the grassroots level to pursue and accept leadership opportunities at all levels of this international federation.

Ms Bruno was recently installed as third vice president-Dean of Districts; her term will run 2008 to 2010.  Her responsibilities as Dean of Districts for the state federation will be membership, as well as working with all state district directors and assistant district directors.
