Wickman Graduates From Air Force Basic Training

Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Diana L. Wickman graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Airman Wickman is the daughter of David and Peggy Wickman of Horseshoe Ridge Road in Sandy Hook, and granddaughter of Wes and Harriet Giebink of Homelife Plaza, Rolla, Mo.

She graduated in 2003 from Newtown High School, and then earned a bachelor’s degree in 2007 from the University of Connecticut at Groton.
