To the Editor:

I couldn’t agree more with the plethora of recent commentaries about how our State Representative Chris Lyddy is doing an exceptional job for Newtown. He is at the forefront leading in the fight for Newtown and our important issues, including the Railroad Transfer Station environmental debacle in Hawleyville, and the United Water-Brookfield water matter that threatens our aquifer and the Pootatuck, likewise a potential environmental and financial crisis.

Personally, I have turned to him on several important issues to which he immediately responded and took action. His communication skills are superb. He has won several important awards, including for his education initiatives. He and Representative Tom Reynolds support fiscal responsibility, and in only a year and a half he has earned the tremendous respect of other legislators, as well as the state boards and commissions. Contrary to this “gotcha” political environment, I like to think we are not all too jaded or old-fashioned to just say thanks for the great work... so...thanks, Chris Lyddy, for your abundant assistance and good old-fashioned hard work! Well done. We know you will keep it up.
