Newtown Black Tops Beth-Wood Blue

The Newtown Black 8 year old travel baseball team defeated Beth-Wood Blue 8-0 in action this past week.

Defense was the name of the game as Newtown Black didn’t allow a runner to get past second base. Karl Miller and Trevor Jacozzi recorded outfield assists. Owen Browne played a lockdown third and Colin Adis was solid behind the plate. Zack Majeski crossed home plate twice, and Stephen Mayer, Matt Pietrarazio, Noah Dinallo, Trevor Jacozzi, Ryan Heran, and Ryan Verdi each scored once. Ryan Heran hit the team’s first home run.
