To the Editor:

I would like to thank the generous residents of Newtown for coming out this past Saturday the 23rd of November for the 13th Annual Fill the Fire Truck Food Drive.

Firefighters from all five companies came out and stood in front of Big Y and Stop & Shop to collect goods.  I would like to thank my fellow firefighters for participating and the two stores for working with us.  I would also like to thank Darlene D'Amico and Curtis Packaging for their generous donation of boxes for the collection.  At the end of the day we were able to give the FAITH food pantry 69 turkeys, 1 ham, over 125 boxes of food and over $1,400 in cash and gift cards.

Again thank you to the wonderful residents of Newtown and I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.
