Sharlene Hudak, 77, of Sandy Hook died May 5 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born April 27, 1939, in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Arlene Conway and John Cozza. Her stepmother, Dolores Cozza, also predeceased her.

She graduated from Harding High School and was employed by Barnes Engineering for more than 25 years.

Ms Hudak spent 14 of her retirement years in Florida before returning to Connecticut in 2015. In Florida, she enjoyed her flower garden, swimming, bowling, and reading. Back in Connecticut, she enjoyed spending time and holidays with her family again.

Survivors include her daughter Sandralee Hudak, and son Jack Hudak, and his wife Toni, all of Sandy Hook; sisters, Betty Rubesch of Florida and Kathleen Parker of Shelton; brother John Cozza, and wife Karen, of Vermont; grandchildren Stephanie Hudak, Jack Hudak, and wife Kathleen, and Brandon Cruz; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, two sisters, Donna Jean Larsen and Joan Castorina, predeceased Mrs Hudak.

Friends and relatives may call Friday, May 13, at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, beginning at 10 am. A memorial service will follow at 11 am.
