Beloved By Family

Vincent A. Kost, Jr, 70, died July 20, in Longboat Key, Fla. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 14, 1938, a son of Vincent and Anne (Zisk) Kost.

Mr Kost is survived by two sisters, Vivian A. Laskarzewski and her husband, Francis, and Patricia A. Murad and her husband, Peter, all of Newtown; a brother Robert J. Kost and his wife, Joanne, of Sandy Hook; a niece, Karen Haley; three nephews, David Laskarzewski, Daniel Kost, and Jonathan Kost; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

He graduated from New Britain High School, and from Worchester Polytechnic Institute, Class of 1961, with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked for the United Illuminating Company in New Haven until he retired in 1994. After retirement, Mr Kost moved to Sarasota, Fla., and then to Conrad Beach on Longboat Key, Fla.

He was a well-loved brother, uncle, friend, and neighbor. He was always welcoming, with an easy-going nature, quick wit, and a ready, warm laugh. His family and friends will miss him more every day.
