Disappointed With GHO Coverage

To the Editor:

I was very disappointed with the article on the GHO in The Bee. All the writer did was talk about how hot the weather was and how good the players were compared to the writer.

You could have mentioned that it was a charity event put on by the Jaycees to benefit children’s programs. You could have mentioned that it was a very exciting match with players being one stroke apart. Last, but by no means least, you could have mentioned that it was a huge success, drawing 300,000 people, due to its tournament director, Newtown native Dan Baker. At least, Channels 3, 6 and 8 were smart enough to interview him.
