Way Of The Cross Procession

DANBURY –– The annual “Way of the Cross” procession down Main Street will take place on Friday, April 18, starting at 9:30 am from the green at Elmood Park between the Old Court House and the Danbury Senior Center at 80 Main Street.

The hour-long event will feature a reading of portions of “The Passion,” the procession north on Main Street, and a closing at Kennedy Park.

The public is invited to attend this reenactment, to help carry the cross, and to dress in garments made from sheets or robes to resemble that of the era portrayed, 30 AD. Persons of all ages dressed in regular street clothes also are welcome to attend.
