Rubinstein

Minnie Rubinstein, mother of Robert Rubinstein and grandmother of Lewis and Craig Rubinstein, formerly of Newtown, passed away July 8 at St Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Md.

Minnie was born in Baltimore, June 7, 1914, the last surviving sibling of four.

Widowed in 1956, she raised five sons and through her strength and love, she made sure the family would stay intact and grow together. She is survived by Robert and Florence Rubenstein of Southbury, Harold and Bonnie Rubinstein of Dallas, Texas, Arthur and Theodore Rubinstein of Baltimore; grandchildren Lewis, Craig, Mark, Neil, Elysse, and Larry; and 11 great-grandchildren.

 She was predeceased by her husband, Louis, and her son, Bernard, as well as her brothers, Nathan and Joseph, and by her sister Ella.

The funeral was held in Maryland July 10. Calling hours with a kaddish service will be at the home of Robert Rubinstein, 21 Patriot Road, Southbury, during the afternoon and evening.
