The Newtown Bridle Lands will holds its next monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 15, at 7:30 pm sharp, on the lower level of the Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street.
Dr Jennifer Nadeau will speak on gastric ulcers in horses and the implications of feed choices. Dr Nadeau is an assistant professor of Animal Science and Equine Extension Specialist at the University of Connecticut and she helps horse owners in the community with questions about horses.
She organizes the Connecticut Horse Symposium, provides educational expertise to the Connecticut 4H program, and carries out equine research specializing in equine nutrition, gastric ulcers and equine health management.
She received an AAS in Agricultural Science from SUNY at Morrisville in 1995, a MS in Comparative and Experimental Medicine from the University of Tennessee in 1997, and a PhD in Animal Science in 2001.
Dr Nadeau joined the Animal Science department at UConn in 2001.
