Connecticutâs Changing Birdlife
DANBURY â The Naugatuck Valley Aubudon Society, Inc, in cooperation with the Department of Environmental Protectionâs (DEP) Kellogg Environmental Center will host âConnecticutâs Changing Birdlife,â a presentation by Greg Hanisek, on Tuesday, May 17, at 7:30 pm.
The program will be at the Kellogg Environmental Center.
Mr Hanisek, an editor of The Republican-American, will speak on how the birdlife in Connecticut has changed over the years, reflecting changes in the stateâs natural landscape, urban sprawl, and the effects of backyard bird feeding.
Mr Hanisek writes a nature column twice a week for the Waterbury newspaper, and is also the editor of The Connecticut Warbler, the quarterly journal of the Connecticut Ornithological Association.
Kellogg Environmental Center is operated by the DEP Office of Communications and Education.
A donation of $4 per person is being requested for the program.
