 WWI Records

The Genealogy Club of Newtown will hold the first meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 14, at 7 pm, at C.H. Booth Library.

Tom Howard, a full-time professional genealogist, will be speaking on “A Bridge to Ancestors and to the Old Country: New England World War I Records.”

Mr Howard is chair of the Connecticut Genealogical Coalition, a founding member of the Town Clerks and Genealogist Action Group, president of the Connecticut Professional Genealogists Council, and is on the board of directors of NERGC and the Connecticut Society of Genealogists.

Meetings of the Genealogy Club of Newtown are open to the public, and are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the library, 25 Main Street.

Club members, from beginning to seasoned genealogists, are from Newtown, Shelton, Brookfield, Danbury, Trumbull, Redding, Greenwich, Southbury and New Milford.  Refreshments are provided.
