Response

To the Editor:

I would like to publicly thank the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire Department for their quick response to a brush fire on my property Monday night. The firefighters who responded were numerous, prompt, efficient, effective, and very courteous. I thank them all for their service to this community, and for their unpaid and often tiresome job. Thank you very much for your help.

Thanks also to the motorist who called 911 while driving by.
