Make Your Pet A Star Of The 2008 PAWS Calendar
Make Your Pet A Star Of The 2008 PAWS Calendar
NORWALK â PAWS, a nonprofit animal shelter dedicated to the rescue and placement of homeless and abused animals, is working on its 2008 desk calendar.
Featuring a weekly layout, there will be a large photo on the left-hand side of each spread showing PAWS pets while they were waiting for their new home, and the days of the week on the right-hand side, with each day featuring a small photo of someoneâs pet. The calendar will be spiral wire bound.
Space permitting, every photo received will be used. Pet owners can even select the date they want their petâs photo to appear. Photos will be assigned dates on a first come, first served basis. Owners should provide their three preferred dates (first choice, second choice, third choice). If the requested dates are already taken, photos will be placed on the next closest date available.
Deadline for submissions is September 1.
Pet owners can submit as many photos as they wish but each photo must have its own completed Photo Submission Form, available at PAWSct.org.
Entry fee is $30 per photo, which includes one free calendar and shipping.
Entries may be either conventional prints or electronic files. Commercial prints and high-resolution files provide the best results.
All photos will be used providing there is space and the photo can be reproduced.
Photos must only show pets. Humans will be cropped out.
Submission of photo grants PAWS permission to use photo in the calendar and related calendar advertising. Photos will become the property of PAWS and will not be returned.
PAWS must have a signed, completed form in hand in order to use any photo. Forms cannot be submitted electronically. They need to be mailed to PAWS, Attn: Alexis, 504 Main Avenue, Norwalk CT 06851.
All proceeds from the calendarâs sales will be used to provide food, medical care, and shelter to pets while they await placement in new homes. For more information about the calendar or PAWS in general, visit PAWSct.org, call 203-750-9572, extension 135, or send e-mail inquiries to alexis@pawsct.org.
