Shakespeare

At The Movies

For a few months C.H. Booth Library has been running a “Searching For Shakespeare” series, with lectures, discussions, and movie screenings that have focused on a different title each month.

This month the series will depart from its regular programming and offer instead a set of free movie screenings. Also, instead of being direct adaptations of Shakespeare, these moves are each loosely based on the stories of or about the Bard.

On Wednesday, December 26, it will be 10 Things I Hate About You, a 1999 film loosely based on The Taming of The Shrew; Thursday, December 27, watch She’s the Man, 2006) a modernization of Twelfth Night, or What You Will; and Friday, December 28, enjoy Shakespeare in Love.

Each screening will begin at 2 pm, and there is no charge. Call 426-4533 for additional information.
